If your appetite has been whetted by the Spider Walk, you can have a really good time on this walk, led by Jonathan Leeming, a well-known fundi on the subject and author of a book on scorpions. Jonathan absolutely adores goggas of this nature. Have a look at his website: www.scorpions.co.za.

More details about time and venue in the next VeldTalk.
SLAPP suits totalling R210 m, brought by Wraypex, developer of the Blair Atholl Golf Estate on the border of Rhenosterspruit, against five members of the Conservancy are in the news again. (SLAPP: Strategic Litigation against Public Participants.)
Roughly the southern half of the RNC is covered by Egoli Granite Grassland (EGG!) – an endangered vegetation type. About 300 ha in the RNC have now been earmarked for declaration, either as a Nature Reserve or as a Protected Natural Environment – both of which carry legal status, which a Conservancy does not have.
